Carl Heskett Obituary

Carl Heskett, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.  Carl was born Oct. 25, 1936 in Dunkirk, IN to Herbert and Melva Marie (Alexander) Heskett.

He is survived by his wife Judith (Crabtree) Heskett of 47 years.  His two children, Deborah (Pete) Tadeo, Michael (Christiana) Heskett, and his five children by choice, Kevin (Peggy) Whittenburg, Kenneth (Kim) Whittenburg, Zelia (Ray) Gipson, Eugenia (Christopher) Haynes, and Robert (Jeannette) Whittenburg.

Carl served in the US Army from 1959-1962.  He worked at Maxon Corporation in Muncie, IN for 31 years until his retirement at age 60.

Carl was a member of the E. 16th St. Separate Baptist Church since 1978 and served as a trustee, steward and go-to-guy.

Carl’s greatest joy was spending time with his family which also includes 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Carl enjoyed helping his neighbors and could often be found mowing or clearing snow from driveways and walkways.

Funeral service will be on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown, with burial to follow in the Range Cemetery. Military service will be conducted at the grave side by American Legion Post 137.

Family will receive friends on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown
