David Peter Duchon, age 70, of Jamestown, TN passed away on Wednesday June 24,202O in Crossville, TN with his loving wife,of 48 years, Rose at his side.
Dave was born in Detroit, MI on October 22, 1949 to George and Barbara Duchon. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his two beloved sons, Luke and Leo Duchon.
Dave was a proud veteran and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Field Tank Commander. After the Army he worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company as a Field Project Manager for 40 years. He was responsible and helped develop the procedures for pipeline integrity work for the Gas Company in Michigan. Dave also served as a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a frequent volunteer for many church and neighborhood projects. Dave was an avid fisherman, trapshooter and hunter. He loved living his best life in his retired home in Tennessee.
Dave is survived by his wife Rose of Jamestown, his daughter Laura (Dan) Amidon of Greenville, MI, his daughter Monica (Bradley) Glover of Signal Mountain, TN, his son George Duchon of Lake Isabella, MI, his son Dominic (Naiane) Duchon of Mt Upton, NY and 19 beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Christine (Jerry) Droelle of Brighton, MI and Donna (James) Culver of Tubac, AZ.
A public visitation will be on Friday, June 26 from 5-7:30pm at Mundy Funeral Home, Jamestown, TN. A rosary will take place at 7pm.
A Catholic Mass of Christian burial will be at St Christopher’s Catholic Church in Jamestown,TN on Saturday, June 27 at 10am. Because of Covid restrictions the funeral mass on Saturday will be for family only
