Passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his home

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown with burial to follow in the Allardt Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M. at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

He is survived by:

Wife of 54 years: Yvonne Gernt

Daughters: Laquita Sandman and Rebecca Day

Son-in-laws: Scott Sandman and Jerry Day

Grandchildren: Erynn Grace, Madeline, and Abigail Sandman & Jacob Day and wife Marley, Ryleigh Matthews and husband Byron, Rachel Day, & Reece Day

He was preceded in death by:

Parents: Oscar and Willie Gernt

Brother: Joe Gernt and wife Kathy

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Allardt Presbyterian Church, Bruno Gernt Park (Allardt Park), and the Fentress Hope Foundation. Donations may be left at Mundy Funeral Home.
