Jerry V. Fowler, 89, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at home surrounded by family.
Born September 29, 1933, to Blanche (Tipton) and Travis Fowler in Jamestown, TN community of Buffalo Cove.
He attended area schools as well as Middle Tenn. State University, where he played football during that time. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy served on the aircraft carrier the USS Boxer during the Korean War. He married Agnes (Cooley) Fowler on Aug. 31, 1962, who survives, and raised two daughters and 1 son. He was a manager of a local loan company in finance, an independent truck driver, and a veteran's service officer.
Survived by daughter, Karen Fowler, Muncie, sons; Eric (Dolly) Fowler, Parker City, Scottie Crouch, Jamestown, grandchildren; Samantha Fowler, Eric (Katie) Fowler Jr., Jason Crouch, Logan Fowler, great-grandchildren; Willow, Juniper, and Arlo Fowler. Siblings; William Fowler, Mary Fowler, and Peggy Stephens.
Preceded by his parents, daughter Jennifer Fowler, granddaughter Dylan Fowler, sisters; Ruth Copley, Louise Skaggs, Karen Wright, brothers; James, Charles, T.H., and Howard Fowler.
The family will receive friends at Mundy Funeral Home on July 8, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, and Interment will be at Waters Cemetery in Jamestown, TN.
