Jerry Lee Gray (59), of Oxford, GA, passed away on March 25, 2024 at his home. He was born in Jamestown, TN to Wilbert and Betty Mae (Richards) Gray. Jerry was a hard working man who loved people, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and especially playing with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Wilbert Gray, father-in-law (second dad) Raymond Franklin, brother by marriage, Joey Cormier, and foster son, Matt Hubble.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Franklin Gray; his sons, Hayden Gray (Erica), and Parker Gray (Elisabeth); daughter-in-law Katie Gray; grandchildren, Kaiden, Kieran, and Collin Gray, Lillith Brassard, and Falken Martinez all of GA.
Mother, "Betty Mo" Gray of TN; sisters, Debbie Gray Scott of VA, and Melissa Wynn of GA; brothers, Barry "John" and Jeff Richards of TN, and James "Pete" Gray of GA.
His family by marriage: mother-in-laws, Ann Stowers Franklin and Judy Mitchell Franklin; sister, Laura Franklin (Jon); brothers, Myron (Dana), Shane, and Jeremy (Amanda) Franklin and David Copeland; many nieces, nephews, cousins, foster children, and close friends on both sides of the family, and his best friends of many years, Glen Nasworthy and Juan Vitella of GA.
Graveside services FOR FAMILY ONLY, will be May 4, 11:00 a.m. at Richards Cemetery in Grimsley with Mark Hawks officiating. Afterward, FAMILY AND FRIENDS will gather at the South Fentress Community Park (Pavilion D) in Clarkrange for potluck dinner and celebration of life.
Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown is assisting the family with graveside services.
