Joseph “Daniel” Tisdale, 49, of Laurens, and husband of Vinnie Gresham Tisdale, went to be with Jesus and “Taterbug” on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Born in Kingstree, South Carolina, he was the son of Joe Kenneth Tisdale and Debra Susan Petty. Daniel attended Believers Assembly and was a truck driver. He had a huge heart and brought love and laughter to the lives of many people. Daniel was adored by his children and grandchildren who he was affectionately known as “Pops”. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and restoring older vehicles, especially his son Taylor’s Ford Mustang that they started together. He will be greatly missed, but will live on forever in our hearts.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Kelly Michelle Tisdale, Austin Lee Tisdale, Camron Bryson Tisdale, Trace Wicker, Sawyer Wicker, and Joseph Bradley Tisdale; grandchildren, Kaiden Alexander Sargent, Camron “Kye Bug” Tisdale, Dalton Shane Tisdale, Teagan Faye Tisdale, and Bryson Jakobe Tisdale; sisters, Wendy Ann Harris (Jerry), Lisa Mann, and Dani Upton (William); and a string of nieces and nephews but one very special one that was more like a son, Jamie DeShields, SSG for the U.S. Army at Fort Benning GA.

Daniel is predeceased by his son Taylor Cole Tisdale; grandparents, Fred and Annie Moore and Lawrence Eugene and Letha Eunice Tisdale; sisters, Kelly Ann Tisdale and Stevie Robyn Dominick; and Fonda W. Dominick.
