Joyce Helen (Neal) Conatser

Joyce Helen (Neal) Conatser, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered into eternal life on April 23,
2020.

Joyce was born to Freeman and Effie (Crouch) Neal in Forbus, Tennessee on August 7, 1932, the fourth of five children. She
attended York Institute, and while there met her future husband Quentin “Buster” Conatser. She and Buster were married on
November 20, 1948.

From the mid 1950’s to the late 1970s, Joyce was the proud owner and operator of the Jamestown Beauty Salon.
Joyce was the loving mother of Brent and Gary Conatser and enjoyed attending their many basketball and football games- this
continued in later years, as she took a lively interest in attending and supporting the sporting events of her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.

Joyce had a great love of gardening, travel, and fishing- even holding a record in Canada for a fish caught on one of her many
Canadian fishing trips with her family. She was also an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and their
friends.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Buster Conatser; her two sons Gary (Debbie) Conatser, Brent (Joan) Conatser;
grandchildren Chad (Jennifer) Conatser, Barry (Sarah) Conatser, Brian (Megan) Conatser, Amy Conatser; and great-
grandchildren, Hannah, Jackson, Lilly, Scarlet, Stella, Shelby, Bishop, Ellie and Madeline, as well as many much-loved friends.

Joyce was a devout Christian, and member of Allardt First Baptist Church.
