Murphy B. Horner III of Casa Granda, Arizona and Jamestown, Tennessee, formerly of Morristown, Tennessee passed away March 18th in Arizona. He was born March 2, 1947 to Murphy B. Horner II and Edith Collins Horner. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict.
Murphy is survived by his wife, Gail Tompkins Horner, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in May. He is also survived by sister Elizabeth Bryant; nieces Stephanie, Kim, and Kayla; four great nieces; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clell and Joan Tompkins, Charlotte and Darrel Tompkins, Roger and Teresa Tompkins, and Sheila Crouch. He is also survived by special nephew, Justin Dillon, as well as all his other Tennessee nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and their spouses.
In addition to his parents Murphy was preceded by niece, Christy, parents-in-law Willis and Ola Tompkins, brothers-in-law Fred Dillon and Paul Crouch.
There will be a private memorial service in Tennessee at a later date.
