Sallie Sue Martin Frogge, age 86, of Pallmall, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on October 14, 2025.
Born in Galveston, Texas, on August 26, 1939, Sallie was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Martin. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) James H. Frogge, and her brother, Patrick Martin.
Sallie is survived by her children, Michael Frogge (Shannon - spouse) and Lisa Frogge Gwynne (Rob - spouse); her grandchildren, Bo Gwynne, Camryn Gwynne, Cheyenne Frogge, Dakota Frogge, Makennzi Brannon, and Kole Brannon; and special family, Jena and Pat Brannon.
Sallie was a kind and gentle soul who met everyone with warmth, respect, and an open heart. She never spoke ill of anyone and carried herself with grace and quiet strength. Her faith was her foundation, and she found deep peace in her relationship with God.
Her professional life reflected the same dedication and care she showed her family and community. Sallie began her career as a secretary for Humble Oil, now Exxon. After marrying Jim, she embraced life as a proud military spouse—steadfast and resilient through every season of service. She would support him all over the world, including Texas, England, Germany, and New Mexico. Upon returning to Tennessee, she found her true calling in education, teaching vocational office skills for 23 years and also serving as a cheer coach. She was passionate about bettering the lives of her students and took great pride in their success.
Even in retirement, Sallie continued to give back. She was active in the Retired Teachers Organization, the Fentress County Food Bank, and The Imagination Library. Her faith guided her daily life, and she remained a devoted member of her church, always eager to help and participate wherever she could.
Sallie’s legacy is one of kindness, faith, and service—a life well-lived and a heart deeply loved.
