Sam Hayes

Sam Hayes passed away at the age of 84 on December 28, 2024 at Ball Memorial hospital in Muncie
Indiana. He was born on November 17, 1940 in Jamestown Tennessee and attended York Agricultural
Institute. Sam lived the bulk of his life in Muncie Indiana having moved there in 1963 to work at
Chevrolet Muncie/Venture Gear a job he held for over 38 years before retiring.

Grave side service will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery at 1pm. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 12:30 PM at Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown

Step son – Brent Hicks (wife Kimberly) of Muncie, Indiana
Step son – Johnny Hicks (wife Michelle) of Muncie, Indiana
Step son –Jimmy Hicks (partner Michelle) of Muncie, Indiana
Sisters- Hazel Scott and Rachel Tinch (husband Steve) both of Jamestown, Tennessee
Grandchildren – Mark Fessel and Molly Weaver (husband Caleb)
Step grandchildren – Grant (wife Keara), Ashlynn Alumbaugh (husband Robbie), Megan Dunsmore
(husband Josh), Austin, Alyssa, and Morgan
Great Grandchild –Juniper Weaver
Step Great Grandchildren- Brynlie Hicks, Ember Hicks and Wyatt Hicks

Wife of 34 years – Marvenis (Downs) Hayes
Wife of 22 years – Sharry (Hicks) Hayes

Sisters – Betty (Hayes) Taylor and Eldena Hayes
