On March 27, 2020 this world lost an amazing man, Scott Kerr (73). He passed away unexpectedly in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Cynthia, and he dearly loved his 6 children and his 12 grandchildren.
Christ was Scott’s first love and he served the church faithfully. His lifelong passion was music! He wrote over a hundred songs, played guitar and sang endlessly. His bible and collection of bible study notes reflect a man that was a student of God’s Word.
Scott was a professional actor in film, commercials, and stage. He was very passionate about the visual arts.
Loving the outdoors, he had a passion for skiing, swimming, biking and hiking. Ever the teacher, he coached youth softball teams and youth swim teams, sharing his skills and passion for athletics. As much as he liked all of these sports, he dearly loved golf. As weather permitted, he played golf all year around. It brought him great peace and relaxation.
His love for people and making them laugh will long be remembered. It was his goal to encourage anyone that he came in contact with.
You could say that Scott was “The Cat Whisperer”! He loved every cat he ever met and they loved him too. He is survived by Charlie, Flip, Ellie and the newest little boy Cooper. They will miss him tremendously.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Douglas Kerr and his mother Norma Kerr; grandson Ben Sinclair, and brother-in-law Rick Furrow. He is survived by his wife Cynthia, his 6 children – Amy (husband Brad), Jason (wife Rachelle), Laura (husband Ted), Kevin, Jeff (wife Sheila), Deanna, and his brother Toby (wife Jan), sister Lindy, nieces: Carissa, and Kayla, great-niece Charley and cousin Leslie. His grandchildren include: Olivia (husband Bryce), Alex, Eden, Levi, Christy, Lance, Drew, Sylvia, Emily, Kayleigh, and Anabelle.
