Shirley Ann Allred

Shirley Ann Peavyhouse Allred departed this life August 27, 2024. Born to Tom and Myrtle Peavyhouse on September 26, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana, Shirley Allred, was a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, at 2 P.M. at Mundy Funeral Home South Chapel in Clarkrange. Burial will follow in the Clarkrange Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mundy Funeral Home South Chapel in Clarkrange

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, David Pharris Allred; her parents, Tom and Myrtle Peavyhouse; her in-laws Elmer and Minnie Allred; sister Betty Peavyhouse Beaty, sister Linda Peavyhouse Terrell and husband Rondall, brother in law Bobby Thompson, sister-in-law Jane Little and husband Carlos Little, and brother in law Lawrence Lane.

Shirley is survived by her children  Lisa Cravens and David Allred,  and grandson George David Wyatt and wife, Jana, of New Jersey. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren George Ethan Wyatt and David Camden Wyatt of Knoxville and Aubree Jean Wyatt of New Jersey.

She is also survived by sister, Jean Peavyhouse Thompson, and brothers Tommy Peavyhouse and wife Bernice, Jim Peavyhouse and wife Betty, and sister-in-law Hallie Lane.

Shirley is also survived by many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, loved ones and friends!

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either the Julia K. Peavyhouse Scholarship Fund or Clarkrange Baptist Church Building Fund. 

The Mundy Funeral Home South Chapel in Clarkrange is in charge of arrangements.
